54th ANNUAL TRACK & FIELD AND SPORTS DAY 2010

Venue: Queenstown Stadium
Date: 10 March 2010
Guest Of Honor: Mdm Joycelyn Yeo

It was an unforgettable Sports Day 2010 indeed. Despite the rainy weather after a long hot and dry season, the spirit of the teachers and pupils was high with energy and drive. There was a high level of enthusiasm shown by pupils waiting eagerly to represent their respective Houses so that they could show their true potential. Everybody wanted to do their house and themselves proud in this annual sporting event.

In line with the Youth Olympic Games this year, before the start of the event, the schools’ Sports Leaders recited the message of the Olympic Values – Respect, Friendship and Excellence.

For the first time this year, the Archery Competition was introduced into our Sports Day on top of the pushball and tug-of-war competitions and the running events. Archery was included with the intention to promote participation and sports exposure that incorporates a holistic approach towards sports activities.

Our committed Sports Leaders and student leaders lived up to the school’s motto of Dare to Serve. Showing qualities of the school’s core values in the area of service and excellence, the student leaders put in their relentless effort and support in the work assigned to them by the Sports Day Committee i.e. timekeeping, prize steward, competitors steward and umpiring games, announcer.
