On February 12, they went on a trail of Queenstown. This was LFT Part One conducted by My Queenstown, My Community, a ROS-registered civic society. The focus here was on the value of Excellence, exhibited by them taking ownership for their individual learning. As a group, they reflected on their fears and aspirations for their trail project.[Self Awareness]
On March 5, they underwent LFT Part Two, a presentation and guiding skills training. Before the training, they researched on specific areas of presentation for the trail and prepared a “100-word” write-up. During the training, they practiced their presentations. Six of them (namely Khuzaiffah, Anthony, Buvan, Hedayu, Wai Han and Jerome) were affirmed by the coach for displaying values of Resilience and Excellence. [Self Awareness, Self Management]
On March 19, they underwent LFT Part Three where they rehearsed the entire trail. [Social awareness, Relationship Management]
On March 26, their dedication and hard work paid off when they successfully launched their first Heritage Trail around Queenstown for 20 New Town Primary School pupil. The distinguished guest was MP for Tanjong Pagar, Mr. Baey Yam Keng.
