On 25 May 2010, our school sent in three teams from the Secondary Three Express stream to participate in the 2nd National ArithmetiEQ Challenge 2010 organised by Yishun Secondary School. It is a game that is inspired by the ever popular board game Scrabble. The competition attracted the participation of over 200 teams from various Secondary Schools in Singapore. Despite the tough competition, Ma Htet Yi Linn and Ng Yan Jie Zilia from sec 3A managed to qualify for the second rounds where 16 top teams would compete for the top honors. Although we did not win the top three prizes, the team spirits put up by Queenstownians had definitely made the whole experience worthwhile. The strategies displayed by the winning schools served as an eye opener for us. We are sure that future teams representing Queenstown Secondary School will be able to achieve better results.
